LIPBLUSH

Lip blush is the newest semi-permanent trend that enhances the natural lip shape with a boost of symmetry and color. It is an extremely popular treatment that defines lip contours and adds a natural flush lip color. Pigments are available in all different shades to match all lips to provide a subtle color that enhances the natural lip color and camouflages scars, paleness or unevenness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. Filler may be great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and give the illusion of fuller lips.

Please keep in mind that all cosmetic tattoo procedures usually require a touchup, and that I cannot control how much pigment your skin chooses to absorb. I do my absolute BEST to get you your desired end color result, but the exact color cannot be guaranteed as the end color will vary a little depending on your own skin. I also cannot go beyond 2mm outside of your lipline, or results are not clean.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Virgin Lips.

  • If you have pre-existing permanent makeup tattoos, they must be 85% faded. Please send in photos for approval.

  • Must be 18 of age or older.

  • Must NOT be pregnant or nursing.

  • Must NOT be allergic to alcohol (in ink), nickel, or numbing agents. Please schedule a patch test with me if you think you might have an allergic reaction to those products.

  • If you are prone to Keloids, Post-Inflammatory / Hypo-Pigmentation, please schedule a patch test to see if you are eligible to receive services.

  • Clients with autoimmune diseases such as HIV or Hepatitis are suggested not to proceed with the procedure due to difficulties of the body in fighting infections. All pmu services are considered a form of controlled trauma to the skin.

DO YOU HAVE HYPERPIGMENTATION LIPS AND WHAT ARE THEY?

There are many reasons you may be experiencing hyperpigmentation or dark, discoloration in your lips. When this discoloration occurs, it is due to excess production of melanin.

This can be brought on by a multitude of factors: genetics, hormonal changes, medications, and sun exposure are related to hyperpigmentation. Nutritional deficiencies, skin trauma, smoking, and other medical conditions may also cause skin discoloration.

The cool tones is neutralized with its complimentary pigments.

Your lips are now neutralized!

In some cases, you might need two neutralizing sessions.

Desired color may be put on top.

Now, there's an even base to work with, you can pick a brighter or lighter color each returning session. Yaaas!

THE PROCESS

Dark Lip Neutralization is a specialized treatment series for those with cool or dark lips in which we neutralize the darkness in the lips to reach the desired color. In the first session, the lips are neutralized by canceling out the dark, cool/purple tones to create a new base. Each session is spread out at least 6 weeks apart. It may take 1-3 sessions to achieve your look, and there are special cases in which additional sessions are needed. When a base is created, the desired color can be applied on top.

Dark lip neutralization is most commonly seen in those who are on Fitzpatrick Scale 3 and up.

Session 1-2 will focus on neutralizing the cool tones with warm based pigment to create an even base color. Neutralizing sessions will consist of inks with a higher red, yellow, and orange ratio to combat and balance out the purple, blue, and grey tones. The last session will focus on desired lip color. 6-8 weeks between sessions.

ABOUT ME

AFTER - CARE

The mouth is a breeding ground for bacteria, which means there is high risk of infection when getting the lip blush procedure done. Avoid eating & drinking for at least 5 hours after your appointment. Do not drink tap water.

  • Rinse your mouth with antiseptic mouthwash at least 4 times a day until you are done healing. Be sure to rinse after eating/drinking.

  • Do not eat spicy, oily, acidic or greasy foods. Do not stretch lips to take large bites.

  • Once shedding begins, do not pick, peel or pull the skin.

  • Do not use saline water as it will cause ink to be pulled from the skin.

  • Apply ointment several times a day for 10 days to keep lips moisturized. Do not rub- dab.

  • Avoid getting lips wet. Apply the ointment before brushing teeth.

  • Do not use any soaps/chemicals on your lips. Be careful when washing your face. Use a washcloth to better control any liquid substance.

  • Use a minimal amount of non-whitening toothpaste. Use a straw when swishing water.

  • Do not expose lips to direct sunlight/tanning beds. Since this is new skin, it’s prone to sunburn, which could change the color and cause scarring.

  • Do not smoke or kiss for at least 10 days.

  • Keep your hands clean and avoid touching your lips until they are done healing.
