WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
PBT blend fibers, which are the same fibers toothbrush hairs are made from. They are a synthetic fiber. They are heated and treated with formulations that give appearance and feel of mink or silks, faux mink or Siberian mink. They are lightweight and flexible.. The purpose of the extensions is to create the appearance of longer, thicker eyelashes. Applying a full set of lashes takes about one to three hours. The lash extension eventually sheds just as your natural lashes would. You can maintain the extensions with refills about every two to four weeks. You must have 40% of extensions remaining for it to be considered a fill, anything less will be charged as a full set. The extensions may be worn while sleeping, swimming, or showering.

*Lash extensions can only be applied to your natural eyelashes, not your skin.*

WHAT DO YOU USE TO GLUE LASH EXTENSIONS ON?

A very strong adhesive made with cyanoacrylate. It never touches the skin.

DOES YOUR GLUE CONTAIN FORMALDEHYDE OR LATEX?

The glue does not contain formaldehyde or latex.

IF I AM ALLERGIC TO LATEX CAN I WEAR THEM?

Yes, there is no latex in the lash adhesives.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY A FULL SET OF LASHES?
The application process takes about 1-3 hours.

HOW LONG DO LASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

They will last until your natural lash sheds. Around 2-4 weeks. You have approximately 170 follicles in your upper lash line and approximately 70 in your lower lash line. They grow and shed at different rates. There is the anagen phase, which we refer to as baby hairs. Then there is the catagen phase, which we call the teenagers and the telogen phase, or the adult hairs. The baby hairs are too weak so we try to use the teenage hairs and the adults. On a daily basis, you will be shedding lashes. It is healthy and normal to lose between 1 and 5 natural lashes per day. If you are losing more than 5 extensions per day, please let me know right away.

WILL EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY LASHES?

They will not damage your eyelashes if they are applied correctly. Choosing the proper curl and diameter and using the right amount of adhesive prevents damage, so be sure to find a professional and certified artist.

CAN I USE AN EYELASH CURLER ON MY EXTENSIONS?

No, there will be no need, because they come in different curls to give you the look you want without an eyelash curler. If you do use one it will cause lash damage.

HOW SHOULD I SLEEP?

It is recommended to sleep on your back.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSIC AND VOLUME?

Classic lashes are a one-to-one. Meaning one lash extension applied to one mature natural lash. Volume extensions are handmade fans of 2 or more very lightweight extensions. Volume gives a more fluffy full appearance, hence the name Volume!

CAN I TRIM MY LASHES OR TRIM MY EXTENSIONS?

No, trimming your lash extensions runs the risk of trimming your natural lashes. Plus extensions are tapered at the end so they already come to a point. If you feel that your lashes are too long you may need to ask your artist to go shorter!

WHAT IS A FILL

A refill consists of the lash artist going through the lashes to remove grown out lash extensions and add new extensions.
You must have 40% of extensions remaining for it to be considered a fill, anything less will be charged as a full set.

HOW LONG DOES A FILL TAKE?
Refills can take anywhere from 1 hour 2.5 hours depending on what needs to be done.

WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
With proper application and after care, lash extensions should not damage your natural eyelashes.

HOW CAN LASH EXTENSIONS BE REMOVED?
Please do not try to remove lash extensions yourself... You will end up pulling out your natural lashes if you pick or pull on the extensions. We apply a special gel on to the extensions, that is made to dissolve the bond of the adhesive. No damage is done to your natural lashes.

ARE THEY PERMANENT?
Lash extensions are semi-permanent. Your natural lashes have their own growth cycle, which is why you need to get a fill every 2-4 weeks.

WHAT TYPE OF LASHES?
I use synthetic lashes.

DO YOU FILL IN OTHER LASH ARTIST'S WORK?
Unfortunately no, if you are coming from another artist, we will need to do a removal and a new set will be applied on.  I tell clients who are coming from another artist is to not expect the same set your have previously been given.

HOW CAN I WASH AND/OR CLEAN THEM?
An oil-free cleanser. I recommend using Micellar Water.

CAN PEOPLE WITH STRAIGHT LASHES GET LASH EXTENSIONS?
Yes I offer different lash curls and styles custom made for your lash type.

DO I HAVE TO BE A CERTAIN AGE TO GET LASH EXTENSIONS?
As long as you have your parents consent, you should be good to go!

DO YOU DO BOTTOM LASHES?
Yes.

Before The Service

Make sure to completely clean your lashes with an oil-free cleanser before the service.

It is highly recommended that you take a shower before your appointment since you will not be able to get them wet for 24 hours.

Make sure to come in to your appointment with absolutely no eye-makeup on.

During the Service
Keep your eye closed during the application.

Your lower lashes will be covered to prevent contact with the upper lashes during application.

Lash extensions will be placed close to the hair root and never touch the skin.

Process will take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.

After the Service
It is important to remember the application of lash extensions can have unfavorable results, including but not limited to: allergic reaction, irritation, burning, redness, and soreness. Do your part in keeping your eyes safe:

Do not get your lashes wet for 24 to 24 hours after application. this includes avoiding workouts, steam rooms, or hot yoga. the adhesive may reactivate and cause the lashes to stick together.

Resist the urge to pull at the lashes. pulling, picking, or touching the lashes could damage your natural lashes, not to mention spread bacteria to your eye area.

Do not use moisture-rich products around your lashes. Shampoos, conditioners, or oil-based products will eventually loosen the adhesive bond. Keep your head tilted back when washing your hair to help avoid getting the lashes wet or exposed to these products.
